July 2019 - Tracy Apperson, RN BSN
Tracy is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kansas University. She began her career as a Telemetry Nurse collaborating with the healthcare team and families to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
As for her 13 + years’ experience as a risk advisor, her nursing and insurance experience gives her a unique perspective identifying critical risk factors within an organization. She believes in a consultative, strategic approach and being a part of her clients’ team. Tracy belongs to variety of associations, does various volunteering activities and loves to travel. Her love for meeting new people and developing new relationships makes her a true team player.

June 2019 - Vanessa Linscott
Vanessa is the President of Staco Electric, a 46 year old commercial/industrial electrical contracting firm with an emphasis on electrical and voice/data construction. Staco is a certified WBE with 187 employees, including 169 EBEW 124 field electricians. Staco Electric supports many charitable programs including First Hand, Harvesters BackSnack program and Suicide Prevention in Construction.
As president at Staco, Vanessa strives to provide the best service and value for her customers. She is a graduate of Kansas State University, enjoys spending time with her family, loves baseball and crossfit. Vanessa has also been a key component in the formation of WCOE Kansas City. She has served on the formation committee, helped form and pass the by-laws for the chapter and served on the nomination committee. She currently serves on the Legislative committee. Thank you Vanessa for your dedication to WCOE KC and improving the lives of Women in Construction in Kansas City!

May 2019 - Sheila Ohrenberg
Sheila is the President and CEO of Sorella Group, Inc., a Division 10 specialties product supplier and installer that offers nationwide product installation or full-service carpentry packages. With her leadership and hands-on management style, Sorella Group Inc. has earned many recognitions and awards, including the American Subcontractor 2012 “Associate Member of the Year”, US Army Corps of Engineers/JE Dunn “Building Achievement” and Kansas Women-Owned Construction Company of the year 2018. April 2019 - Courtney Kounkel
Courtney is a Parter at Monarch, a commercial general contractor focused on community and client relationships as a trustworthy construction partner for owners, developers, architects and subcontractors. Courtney was recently featured as a Construction Entrepreneur on Builtcast, a podcast exploring the people behind growth, technology, and change in the construction industry. March 2019 - Brandy McCombs
Brandy is the President and Founder of International Builders & Consultants, Inc., a contracting firm specializing in interior finish as well as traffic controls. IBC, Inc. was just recognized by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce as one of the top 10 small businesses in Kansas City.
